Ultrasonic Arrays thickness gages are used to measure materials that are produced in a process environment. UAI thickness gages are "embedded" in the process line and measure the product thickness as it is transferred. The gages automatically recalibrate themselves for anything that affects the measurement, even if the process line or fixture moves. The result is a repeatable, accurate, real time measurement that is more accurate and repeatable than a hand micrometer measurement. Measurement is real time, so set up is faster and the process can be automatically adjusted. Every product is measured, assuring the customer"s specification will be met. Measuremate software provides sophisticated grading rules and is used to determine the cause of variation, earlier in the process. Measuremate is also used to optimize the production process and provides important SPC data to control the process.
UAI has recently developed a new compact, non-contact thickness measurement system, the MINIGAGE. The MINIGAGE has the same accuracy specifications as the TMS-5000, and is much smaller and about ½ the cost of the 5000 series. It is meant for applications where there is minimal airborne contamination.
UAI has been installing non-contact ultrasonic thickness gages for over 20 years. Constant development has resulted in increased accuracy, added features to allow for less than perfect fixturing and use in ever harsher environments, automatic calibration for everything that affects the measurement, fail safe features, diagnostics and software that improves quality and increases profit. These developments and improvements have made UAI non-contact thickness gages the standard in many industries.
UAI gages can be used as stand alone systems and do not require a computer. Individual gages are microprocessor controlled and are programmed via a keypad and display.
